The trademark for “computer game software, electronic game software, video game software, computer game programs available downloadable via the internet” was filed by Neon Prime. That rules out virtual reality gear and Steam Machine accessories, right? Well, kind of. However, it could be a VR-centric platform. Nonetheless, we can’t say for sure at this moment. On the other hand, Valve has also been working on its own VR hardware, codenamed Deckard.  It should be noted that the trademark application for Neon Prime is currently being reviewed and has not been approved at this time. The rumor began when a Twitter user, going by the handle “Gabe Follower,” saw the trademark report.

— ‎Gabe Follower (@gabefollower) October 14, 2022 Due to a significant reduction in staff, Valve has only released a small number of games every year since 2013. Half-Life Alyx is the most recent instalment in the long-running series, which is playable solely in virtual reality. Despite the game’s exclusive presence on Steam at the moment, there are reports that it will be released on PSVR 2 in the near future. If the trademark is not a whole other game, then there are still other options to consider. Players of CS: GO will be familiar with the term “prime” since it refers to Prime matchmaking, which is a paid upgrade to the game that grants players access to additional features such as higher skill levels and in-game rewards.
