Before we look at the games, it’s important to preface what you’re about to read with a disclaimer. Despite the leaker being extremely accurate, predicting unannounced Xbox Game Pass and free PlayStation Plus game several times in the past, this is still a leak after all. So, take this with a grain of salt. Moreover, keep in mind that these games are part of the “Essential” tier which is basically the standard PS Plus before it was rebranded. PS Plus Extra and Premium members will also get these games since Essential rewards are part of their tiers. Regardless, here are your free PlayStation Plus games for July 2022:

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time – PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4

It’s time to discover a brand new Crash Bandicoot™ adventure leaping! Embark on an epic that defies time and space with your favorite marsupials. Neo Cortex and N. Tropy are once again talking about them, trying to seize not only this universe, but the entire multiverse! Crash and Coco are there to stop them, gathering the four quantum masks, and changing the rules of reality. New skills? Yes. More playable characters? That’s right. Alternative dimensions? Obviously. Ridiculous bosses? Necessarily. A fantastic sauce? Perfect for your jort nuggets. Hey, are there jorts? Not in this universe!

The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan – PlayStation 4

The Dark Pictures Anthology is a series of stand-alone, branching cinematic horror games featuring a multiplayer mode. In Man of Medan, five friends set sail on a holiday diving trip that soon changes into something much more sinister… Embark on a horrific journey aboard a ghost ship. Experience your terrifying story with a friend online or go for safety in numbers with up to five players offline All playable characters can live or die. The choices you make will decide their fate. Who will you save?

Arcadegeddon – PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4

Gilly, the owner of the arcade, tries to save his shop from the clutches of a soulless mega-corporation. To achieve this, it connects the best games in the room in order to create a great game. Unfortunately, the mega-corporation Fun Fun Co. hacks him and implants a virus there. You and your friends have to save the game and the last arcade in the city. This evolving multiplayer shooter allows you to play with up to 3 friends to explore different biomes, participate in mini-games, find hidden chests and defeat the many bosses and other enemies. Arcadegeddon is a co-op multiplayer experience that gives you a mix of PvE and PvP so you can play at your own pace. As you progress, you will be able to take on various challenges offered by the local “gangs” that hang out in Gilly’s room. You will gain much more than reputation. And speaking of reputation, you’ll have to earn your place at the top of the scoreboard.

Interestingly enough, one game in this lineup, Man of Medan, is already part of the PS Plus Extra tier. If you’re a member of either PS Plus Extra or Premium tier, it would be wise to claim the game nonetheless. Because games included in the Extra or Premium tier can be removed at any time, whereas games part of the Essential tier will stay with you until your subscription is active.  More importantly, though, the leaker says the games will be downloadable from July 5th to August 2nd, 2022. Even though the aforementioned lineup is not confirmed, given the leaker’s track record, it’s only a matter of time before Sony confirms and makes it official.
